We've never really been "car guys" in a traditional sense. Old cars offer opportunities to do some shaping, welding, and grinding of metal. We identify with the craftsmanship over the typical need to go fast and achieve bragging rights. We're in for the experience and the ingenuity.
Looking back at a project sheds light on how we arrived at our present. This volksrod represents a lot of time and effort as well as a partnership with very capable friends. Simply put, these projects represent our efforts on a whole. Its amazing how much our hands learned making this guy. We worked hard combining a large skillset and valued relationships. After scheming and drawing we got to work bringing ideas to life. Dedication to hard work and a need to be involved in every aspect of the process grew experience in many corners of design and fabrication. It is part of our desire to make everything we use and why we built the motor and transmission from scratch as well as chopping the roof, welding in the sunroof clip, adapting the dropped I-beam Ford front end and building the wiring harness from scratch as well.
You might not need a hot rod, but your project needs get the same consideration and focus. We're excited to make more, learn more and celebrate the completion of something beautiful. Its also fun to scoot around town and turn a few heads.
