213_PLASMA_CHAIR
Sometimes it's nice to take a break from the norm and dedicate some time to experiments. One day design exercises require us to sketch and create an entire product in a single day, start to finish. These projects allow us to stretch our muscle with different constraints. Starting as a pencil sketch the chair was then quickly mocked up in Solidworks. After that, the flat patterns were generated and tool paths prepped for the plasma cutter. Steel plate was cut and the pieces were all formed and tig-brazed together to complete the chair. It's a satisfying feat and pretty damn comfortable, if we do say so ourselves. Not bad for one of our one day design efforts.
