109_ROBBY
Robby joins Clear Irons after about a dozen years in the cycling industry, where he last managed the test lab of one of the globe's leading component manufacturers. Looking for a larger scope of work, Clear Irons has been a great fit. He wears all the hats as they say; from modeling and prototyping to hacking through the code on our website. The only thing more sporadic than his day-to-day is his academic history. After earning a degree in graphic design in North Carolina, Robby began a fine arts degree in Philadelphia and finished at the School of the Art Institute in Chicago. Recently, he finished a program in math and physics at Northwestern. We are never sure what he is up to.
While you will most likely see him flying around the city on two wheels, he is likely thinking of anchoring some top rope climbs out in the wilderness. He's a tremendous cook, an avid reader of science fiction, and a seasoned backpacker and traveler. As he bashes his body into rock walls, eats it on asphalt or suffers the ever impending "whoops" of manufacturing he is constantly reminded of his incredible luck to be married to such a skilled nurse and rad lady. At work and home he is often shadowed by the ever hyper Rooster, his rescued retriever. Robby has surely accomplished a lot, but still has a wealth of opportunities ahead of him. We look forward to adding welding, motorcycle repair, additional modeling skills and more to his toolkit. To be quite honest, the guy would be a lot more worthwhile if he could drive stick. That being said, he is great to have around. Robby is a hard worker, quick learner and great listener.
